I left work today and drove straight to the grocery store to buy food for dinner. You would think I could get it together enough to only go grocery shopping once or twice a week, but either Jared or I go every day and sometimes twice because when you don't use lists you tend to forget things. Who would have thought? Anyway, I knew Jared didn't get home until later than usual tonight, and I wanted to surprise him with a delicious feast.
So... I headed back to my Italian roots and started with my new favorite spaghetti sauce. It's so simple and easy to make it shouldn't be this good. The recipe calls for a total of 6 ingredients. It's tomato-based and has no meat. See here:
I wish the blogging world had a sixth sense of smelling because the sauce brings the aromas of Italy into your head, and I love it! Just imagine for now.So... Next I kneaded some bread and rolled it into breadsticks topped with some parmesan cheese. What else can I say! Jared loved the food and I surprised him with a successful dinner. Doesn't he look happy? I think you could say he takes his food serisously.
