Snow, Snow Go Away

I woke up this morning to a beautiful sheet of ice covering my car. Nothing like a welcoming Monday morning, as if Mondays aren’t bad enough! All I can say is I’m ready for summer.

J and I had a great weekend. We went out with some friends Saturday night to Chili’s, then everyone came to our place for a March Madness recap and a game of Yahtzee. We make a killer hot fudge sauce—it’s Janeen’s recipe—and I served the sauce Saturday night over vanilla ice cream. Tasty! And the winner of yahtzee? ME. It’s never happened before—ever. Not that there is a lot of strategy to rolling dice, but still I had never won a game of Yahtzee. How sad!

I teach the CTR 5 class in my ward. The kids are full of surprises of all kinds, but they are the biggest sweethearts. I love them. Yesterday, we got a new girl who just moved here from Australia. She is so adorable and I can’t get enough of her little accent! I just want to take her home with Jared and me. Jared is in Young Mens with the 14- and 15-year-old boys. He helps them with scouts, and they do their guy thing. He’s perfect for them.
