I'm a Felon!

A random number called my phone yesterday, and as I normally do with numbers I don’t recognize, I hit the ignore button. A few minutes later my phone beeped letting me know I received a voicemail. Don’t worry that it’s my future employer—Ernst and Young—needing to discuss my background investigation they conducted. The woman says, “I cannot believe in the state of Utah you get a misdemeanor for speeding. Legally, I need to call and let you know we found 3 misdemeanors on your record.” Then she said that as an employee of EY I represent the company and it’s important that I maintain a clear record to best of my ability and all that other jazz. It felt a little like a lecture from mom and dad. How embarrassing! And how crazy is Utah! I will think twice next time I get cruising along a little too fast.

What a rebel, Candace! :) So funny. You certainly can link me. Can I link you? Because I just did. Without permission. That's probably a felon in Utah, too!

I got a ticket a while back and went to traffic school (so I guess my misdemeanor isn't on my record)and the cop in charge told us that they won't pull you over if you are going either 5 or 10 over. So we try to keep it under 10 over and neither of us have gotten a ticket in 2 years. Maybe you should try that :)
