Viva La Vida

Once upon a time, there was a large family.

They traveled to Mexico to meet a soon-to-be-member of the family. Welcome Brenda, fiance of "W":

Brenda and I became friends. "Dick", as Jared's siblings refer to him, and "W" helped translate for us. We used our hands a lot to talk, and we got by just fine.

The vacation started in Mexico City with a trip to the Templo Mormon and "Dick's" mission areas.

After a wild and tight taxi ride, we quickly ran across the road. Ridiculous Americans, thought the passers by.

After I nearly fainted in the temple and the paramedics came to rescue me, we followed Jared to meet his mamita's family.

The mamita greeted Jared with tears of joy rolling down her cheeks. Of course, yours truly had to join in the cry fest.

Our next day consisted of one large hike as we climbed the pyramids of Teotihuacan.

On our last day in Mexico City, we jumped on a turibus for a ride around town to see as much of the city as possible.

Other random Mexico City pics include naked protestors (see top left of photo),

sombreros yea?

and a photo of the girls on one tall couch.

The family loved exploring Mexico City, and "Dick" couldn't have been happier to revisit so many places he onced lived.

What a beautiful wedding! And also I am still jealous that you went to Mexico while we were freezing our cahones off here.

What a great trip--wow! Amazing pics and memories. I wish I had seen these before the semester ended so I could ask you more about the trip.
